Dear Robert
Thanks for your e-mail.
I'm concerned that ordinary people, like myself, not particularly technical,
but grasping the basics, will become tired if discussions get too bogged
down with language they don't understand and provide more questions than
answers. Up to now asking people locally if they want broadband has brought
a very good response. I hope this end of the valley can benefit from
participating in this initiative.
I'm grateful for the support already given from residents in Mytholmroyd and
it may well be that others you have contacted will be better able to answer
your e-mail. I note that it has gone to those of us who have posted on the
Hebweb forum with enthusiasm for the idea.
For myself I can only assist by producing paper information, putting it
where people can see it, posting on the website and making the information
as freely available as possible to people in Mytholmroyd and outlying areas.
I've just processed all the forms people filled in at the meeting on Tuesday
and sent an e-mail receipt to them all. Time, of course, is a big
consideration in everything we all do and I only have so much of it to
devote to the issues - keen as I am.
This is a personal response to your e-mail and not intended to represent the
views of the proposed Global Valley Community Co-operative.
