Agenda:
Visit from Yorkshire Forward rural ITC support consultancy team.
Welcome to new members
Walk through of wired and wireless installation process
Walk through of support desk process
Talk on Web Site optomisation for better search engine placement
Things are moving forward with the Engine Room project - many new engines are in the pipeline, we have received a bursary to place 1 full time job running the technical engine, and attracted sponsorship from other quaters, but we need the membership to become engaged. There is something here for everyone, you do not have to be technical. If you have a creative, business, community focus, please do come along. Although this is the Technical Engine meeting, we will be able to give you an overview of what we would like to achieve via community cooperation and action, and you can see what form this engine has taken perhaps as a basis for moving forward with the rest of the engines.
Many business opportunities are available, and the more concerted our collective efforts, the more able we are to tend for this business. Community and social enterprise helping local businesses sustain the community. Currently, we are having trouble dealing with the amount of work coming in, be it new members or new paid for business. This burdon could be eliminated by cooperative action of the membership - that is why everyone became a member in the first place is it not?
So come along, see what is going on, and get involved - let's move forward via the membership and be proactive in engaging the community both socially and financially and make Hebden what is could be.
See you there
Tony
