project
Hi ALL,
I write you in regard of our "UK wireless community project"=20
www.online.czweb.org that is supported by British council in Czech=20
Republic www.crossroadsforideas.com . In nutshell my friend and I plan to=
=20
visit GB in order to explore all possible usages of wifi technology there.=
=20
We are a part of one community in Czech Republic www.hkfree.org and we=20
would like to see your wireless network and talk about various things.=20
Problems with wifi systems like interference, bad latency and so, what=20
routers do you use. Of course, we are mainly focused on Linux routers, for=
=20
example in our network we have big problems because of absence of good=20
transit traffic shaper policy. Do you use other technology?
For the most overloaded links we plan to use Ronja optical device=20
developed in Prague www.ronja.twibright.com that is Open source hardware.=
=20
Currently ronja works on 10mbit full duplex, but 100mbit commercial=20
version was also developed. We will be bringing one of the prototypes with=
=20
us (for sale :-). We will be glad to present it to anybody interested.
We will arrive to Scotland/England during summer holidays, between 18 July=
=20
and 31 July. If you are at home these days, we would be pleased, if you=20
could give us short tour around you access points, roofs, antennas, and=20
other interesting parts of your network.

We would be lucky to come in contact with anybody interested.
We will probably visit London, Leeds, Manchaster, Edinburgh, Glasgow, but=
=20
that is not final yet.
