As I recall from his presentation on this a few years ago, WiFi is a
non-starter for the uplink technology.
This project was predated by another mobile internet cluster in =
academia,
but I can't find my notes on that one. It was pre-WiFi, but also =
rejected
early wireless and satelite in favour of aggregated gprs.
That=92s not to say that wifi from within the bus might not be useful -
assuming the security concerns of mobile kit in an uncontrolled location =
