[hb_wireless] Fwd: Hebden Bridge wireless event

Huge embarrassment and I'm both gutted and apologetic. We have no venue
tomorrow, therefore have to cancel build 'n game.
Unfortunately The Java Lounge can't accommodate us. Justin received no
confirmation. Just an initial contact from Mark months ago, an email
from me a few weeks ago and my attempts to see him face to face this
week from Wednesday onwards.
I have seen Justin face to face and he's is still willing to give it
another go, as long as he gets a few weeks notice and can organise
staff and security in good time.

>> Hello,
>>
>> I would like to invite you along to The Java Lounge and The Inn on The
>> Bridge this Saturday July 19th.
>>
>> Have you ever fancied yourself as an Edison, Logie-Baird, Marconi or
>> one of the Wrights? Want a chance to innovate? Not got much time, or
>> technical knowledge?
>>
>> We are exploring a way of linking all the computers in our valley -
>> wirelessly. The possibilities involve local radio/tv gaming and
>> business.
>>
>> On Saturday we will gather in Java Lounge and Inn on the Bridge from
>> 10:30 onwards. During the day we will set up computers to communicate
>> with each other wirelessly. We will transmit all the way over Market
>> Street :-) between the venues.
>>
>> When we have computers communicating we will try out some of the
>> possibilities: tv/radio or gaming. If you come along I imagine you
>> might learn all manner of things about this project.
>>
>> You can come along with or without your laptop/computer. If you do
>> bring your machine along we will help you set it up; otherwise you can
>> learn from the machines we will be setting up. Later we'll form teams
>> based in Inn on the Bridge and Java Lounge and challenge each group to
>> a game.
>>
>> I think a valley wireless network could be hugely fun and worthwhile;
>> come and join us on Saturday at the inception.
