I spoke with Zion on the phone this afternoon. They had "misplaced" our
booking, but after a quick chat, they were more than happy to book us in
again(!?). We have the meeting space from 1:30pm onwards, so feel free to turn
up any time around then. I will be down at 1pm to try and setup some net
access. If anyone could bring a laptop with ethereal to sniff their network
settings, that would be a real help.
None of the proposed talks are set in stone - we will be making things up as we
go along. I have been amazed by the numbers of people who have come forward
with interesting ideas and projects to share, I for one will be ready to
learn...
If the net connection is up we can do some work setting up tunnels and
rearranging our IP allocations, hardware for the Redbricks <---> Yellowbricks
link is due to arrive today or tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
We'll be turfed out at 5pm, but I for one will be up for adjourning the meeting
to the nearest pub. The Hulme carnival will be going on in the park across the
road, and the free D.Percussion music festival in Castlefield is on from midday.
If anyone is in need of accomodation, some arrangements can be made...
